Mirror - Mirror

scary mirrorReally scare the socks off your friends with a spooky mirror. When checking themselves out, all they’ll see is someone else!

I started with a fake wicker mirror from Goodwill for $4.99. Remove the mirror from the frame.  Spray a couple coats of black paint, then a light dusting of silver paint so it looks like it belongs in a haunted house.

Gently scrap off first the black backing then some silver with a razor knife and paint scraper. Take off a little at a time, being careful not to remove all the paint or silver.

You want to have some of the clear glass exposed, but not completely.

Look for an old black and white head shot photo and tape over the scraped off section. Return the mirror to the frame.

I’m planning on hanging mine in my guest bathroom at a Halloween party. I’ll keep the lights dimmed so my guests will be really surprised when they freshen their lipstick or comb their hair!
